Assoc Prof. Dr. Jiaqing Xie | Northwest A&F University | China
Dr. Xie Jiaqing, Ph.D. (b. September 1988), is an accomplished scholar and researcher in engineering, specializing in flexible sensing, microfluidic devices, and precision molding technologies, with a strong record of innovation and academic leadership. A member of the Communist Party of China, he earned his doctorate in engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2018 and currently serves as an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Northwest A&F University. He also holds key leadership positions as Deputy Director of the Shaanxi Key Laboratory of Natural Product Chemical Biology, Deputy Director of a Key Laboratory under the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, and Director of the Intelligent Sensing and Equipment Laboratory. Over the past five years, Dr. Xie has successfully led more than 20 national and provincial research projects, including grants from the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Ministry of Education’s Collaborative Education Program. His research achievements have earned him several prestigious academic awards, such as the Outstanding Paper Award at the National Youth Academic Conference on Plasticity Engineering, the Best Poster Award at the German UPM International Conference, and Outstanding Paper Awards at both the Shaanxi Youth Scientist Conference and the China-Japan Ultra-Precision Machining Conference. Dedicated to mentoring the next generation of engineers, he has guided students to more than 30 national and provincial awards in competitions like the “Challenge Cup,” “Internet+,” and the Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition. Widely recognized in the academic community, Dr. Xie serves as a reviewer for over 20 SCI-indexed journals and is an active member of professional organizations, including the Shaanxi Automotive Society Youth Committee, the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society Plasticity Engineering Branch, the Chinese Simulation Technology Society, the Shaanxi Agricultural Machinery Society, and the Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology, where he is a Senior Member. His scholarly influence is evidenced by 37 publications, 435 citations across 340 documents, and an h-index of 12, underscoring his impact in advancing micro-nano technology and engineering sciences.

Dr. Rumyana L. Lazarova is a Professor of Materials Science at the Institute of Metal Science, Equipment and Technologies with Hydro- and Aerodynamics Centre (IMSETHAC), Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS). She earned her Master’s degree in Engineering from the Technical University – Sofia and a Ph.D. from BAS. Since joining IMSETHAC in 1995, she has contributed extensively to materials science research. She was a scholarship holder at UCL Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium (1999-2000). Her current research focuses on graphene-reinforced aluminum nanocomposites. She has authored over 120 scientific publications, making significant contributions to advanced materials science.
