His current research focuses on high-temperature superconducting (HTS) DC cables, particularly their modeling, analysis, and applications under both static and dynamic conditions, with the goal of enhancing efficiency, minimizing energy losses, and improving the reliability of future power delivery systems. He has made notable contributions in comparing conventional HVDC cables with superconducting DC cables in terms of insulation performance, monitoring, and operational reliability, addressing some of the most critical challenges in renewable energy integration and modern power system stability. Professor Maria Richetta is currently serving as an Associate Professor in Technical Drawing and Design at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Rome “Tor Vergata.” She is an active member of the Ph.D. Program Committee in Industrial Engineering and serves as the Academic Coordinator for the Master’s program in “Chemistry for Nanoengineering,” a collaborative initiative among institutions in Italy, France, and Poland. She is also a member of LIME (International Laboratory of Ionomer Materials for Energy).
