Mequanint Andualem Mekonnen, born on March 24, 1990, is an Ethiopian crop scientist renowned for his research in invasive pest management, variety improvement, and agronomic recommendations. Currently based at the Adet Agricultural Research Center in Bahirdar, Ethiopia, Mequanint has published 11 studies in institutional proceedings and 11 in peer-reviewed journals. He holds an M.Sc. in Plant Protection from Bahir Dar University and a B.Sc. in Plant Science from Debre-Markos University.
